🌿 Between Nature and the Soul of Tbilisi
Walking into the Botanical Garden of Tbilisi feels like discovering another side of the city.
Surrounded by trees, mountains, stone paths, little bridges, and the sound of flowing water, nature slowly takes over the journey. Along the way, we found the beautiful Leghvtakhevi waterfall, hidden among the rocks.
But perhaps the most special moment was looking up and seeing the Mother of Georgia — Kartlis Deda standing high above the city.
She watches over Tbilisi, carrying a story that says so much about Georgia.
In one hand, she holds a cup of wine, a symbol of hospitality and the way Georgians welcome their guests. In the other, a sword, representing strength and the protection of their homeland.
Two hands, two symbols, and one powerful message: welcome those who come in friendship, and protect what you love.
Walking through this place was more than visiting another landmark. It was a chance to feel a little of the history, nature, and identity of Tbilisi all along the same path.
And perhaps that is what makes traveling so special: when a place stops being just a place and begins to tell you its own story. 🇬🇪❤️.
