Some places captivate us with their beauty, but some journeys touch our hearts because of the experience of getting there. ❤️🌿
In Tbilisi, Georgia, Juha and I experienced one of those unforgettable adventures. Our walk began at home, in the Vake area, and took us towards Turtle Lake, one of the city’s beautiful natural escapes. But our adventure didn’t end at the lake. We continued climbing, following forest trails that led us to breathtaking viewpoints and the impressive Svan Tower, standing quietly among the hills.
There is something truly special about nature here. Surrounded by trees, winding paths, steep slopes, and beautiful landscapes, we discovered a side of Tbilisi that not everyone gets to experience. From above, the city seems to blend into the surrounding mountains, while the green forest creates a feeling of peace and freedom that is difficult to describe in words.
But let me tell you something: this hike is not as easy as it might look! Some sections are steep and demanding, requiring stamina, strong legs, and the determination to keep going. Every climb makes us feel the effort, but each step brings us closer to another beautiful view. And when we finally stop to look around, we realise that every step was worth it.
Sharing this experience with Juha makes it even more meaningful. It is not simply about discovering a new place. It is about sharing moments, overcoming little challenges together, and creating memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
I am discovering that travelling is not only about visiting famous landmarks or photographing well-known attractions. Sometimes, the most beautiful experiences happen on a forest trail, in the quiet of the mountains, in the fresh mountain air, or in that magical moment when we stop and admire a view that seems to stretch endlessly before us.
Georgia continues to surprise me in ways I never imagined. Every trail reveals a new landscape, every discovery inspires us to explore a little further, and every day here becomes another beautiful page in our story.
Perhaps that is what makes these experiences so precious: realising that the world still holds so many places waiting to be discovered, and that beauty reveals itself in different ways when we walk without rushing, with open hearts and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
Because some of life’s most beautiful views cannot be reached without effort. They are the ones we discover step by step, carrying with us the joy of having made it all the way. 🌿⛰️❤️
