Old Tbilisi: Between Clock Towers, Colorful Streets, Flavors and Discoveries

There are places we visit, and places we truly feel. Old Tbilisi was a beautiful combination of both.

Together with Juha, I walked through streets that seem to have stopped in time, yet remain full of life. Every corner revealed a new surprise: colorful facades, beautiful wooden balconies, narrow passages, historic buildings and unique architecture that make this part of the city so special.

One of the most charming moments was discovering the famous clock tower of the Puppet Theatre, one of Tbilisi’s most recognizable landmarks. Its almost fairytale-like appearance gives the old streets an even more magical atmosphere.

And because discovering a culture also means experiencing its flavors, we took the time to enjoy local restaurants, excellent Georgian wines and traditional cuisine. These are flavors that carry history, tradition and the famous Georgian hospitality.

Among our discoveries, we also came across the enormous bicycle, a special spot offering a beautiful view of the city. And, of course, we couldn’t miss the sweets β€” little delights that made our experience even more enjoyable.

But there is something no photograph can fully capture: the feeling of being there, walking together, discovering new places, sharing flavors and creating memories.

Georgia has given us so much more than beautiful landscapes. It has offered us encounters, culture, history and experiences that we will carry with us.

Because travelling is not just about discovering the world. It is also about discovering how many beautiful stories we can live along the way.

With love, Cida ❀
